Forensic specialists at the University of North Texas at Denton have told Falls County Sheriff Ben Kirk that the remains found in a wooded area just south of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Marlin unit have been positively identified as earnest Hensley, Jr. 61, of Marlin. Hensley was reported missing in October, 2007.

Sheriff Kirk said the cause of death is pending final forensic esamination by the forensic specialists and the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office.

An inmate work detail discovered the skeletal remains July 29th in a wooded area on private property adjacent to the Marlin TDCJ Unit just off Highway 6 South.
