WACO (June 26, 2014) U.S. Magistrate Judge Jeffrey C. Manske on Wednesday ordered Edgar Lee White to remain in federal custody while he awaits court appearances in connection with possession of a large amount of drugs.

White appeared in a preliminary/detention hearing Wednesday in connection with his arrest on Tuesday after Waco police Drug Enforcement Unit officers and a SWAT team raided his North Waco home.

Officers surrounded the house in the 1500 block of Connor Avenue at about 5:40 a.m. and arrested White at the scene.

Waco police Officer Steve Anderson said DEU officers recovered “significant amounts” of heroin, crack cocaine and marijuana.

Manske ordered White, 40, held without bond and set his next court appearance for July 1, a court document said.
