EDDY (July 30, 2014) An Eddy man was ordered to remain in custody Tuesday while he awaits more court appearances on a charge of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Jeffrey C. Manske ordered Henry David Walker to remain in federal custody on Tuesday without bond.
A complaint filed in connection with the charge says federal agents served a search warrant on a residence in Eddy looking for drugs and while they were there, a man drove a pick up truck into the driveway and parked.
Agents searched the truck and found 69 grams of a substance that later tested positive for methamphetamine.
Agents also recovered smoking pipes, hypodermic needles and packaging materials that are commonly used to prepare methamphetamine for sale, the complaint said.
Walker waived his appearance for the hearing.
Manske set another preliminary/detention hearing for July 31.
