WACO (July 31, 2014) A Wednesday night disagreement between two brothers ended in a shooting that sent one of them to a local hospital.

Waco police were sent at about 10 p.m. Wednesday to a residence in the 400 block of Rice Avenue after a caller reported a man had been shot, Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said.

When officers arrived they learned two brothers got into a disagreement that resulted in one of them being shot.

During the disagreement one of the two pulled a shotgun and fired into the air but some of the pellets struck his brother in the arm, Swanton said.

Officers located the injured man under the Herring Avenue Bridge, a few blocks away, after he had ridden his bicycle away from the home where he was shot.

The injured man was taken by ambulance to Baylor Scott and White Hillcrest Medical Center for treatment of a non life-threatening gunshot wound to the arm.

No one was arrested, Swanton said
