Man Pleads Guilty To Possession Of Child Pornography

WACO (August 1, 2014) A Bell County man pleaded guilty Thursday in federal court to possessing visual depictions of sexual activity by minors and was set for sentencing.

U.S. District Judge Walter S. Smith, Jr., set Charles Warren Chambers, III, for sentencing on September 24.

Chambers pleaded guilty to count 1 of a three -count federal indictment, each of which related to possession of child pornography, a court document said.

Smith ordered Chambers to remain in federal custody pending the sentencing hearing.

The separate counts of the indictment related to incidents on October 5 and 11, 2013 and February 7, 2014, according to the indictment.

Smith could sentence Chambers to up to 20 years in federal prison and impose a fine not to exceed $250,000.
