Jury Finds In Favor Of Wife Of Texas Megachurch Pastor

(August 14, 2008)—Jurors Thursday in Houston said the wife of renowned pastor Joel Osteen did not assault a flight attendant who had claimed she was abused in an angry tirade.

The civil jury reached the unanimous verdict after brief deliberations Thursday afternoon.

Continental Airlines flight attendant Sharon Brown sued over the alleged assault and was seeking at least $405,000 in actual damages for physical and mental pain.

She alleged she was attacked before the start of a December 2005 flight from Houston to Vail, Colo.

Brown claimed Victoria Osteen got so upset when a spill on her first-class seat's armrest was not quickly cleaned up that she threw the flight attendant against a bathroom door and elbowed her in the left breast while attempting to rush the cockpit.

Both Victoria and Joel Osteen, and other passengers, said the assault never happened.

Victoria Osteen's lawyer dismissed Brown's lawsuit as a made-up story concocted to land a courtroom payday.

Oh man. That sucks. I was hoping she would win and I could use her case as presidence for sueing Dell and Microsoft for my hemmorhoids. Now I have to figure out another way to get quick cash. I need caffeine, guess I'll see if McDonalds is open. Joking aside. I'm glad the jury saw fit to see this woman for what she was. We have so many frivolous lawsuits jamming out court system and eating up tax payers dollars. She should deffinately have to pay court costs for this circus she caused.

Having to read this BS story for so long has giving me night sweats and hemhorroids. Im suing Continental for 10.5% of their profits.

I blame the airline as well, for hiring this idiot! Would not fly with them and hope they get sued as well! Continental has treated travelers like a lower form of life for a long time! I guess that is how they train their employees. Most all employees treat the travelers like dirt, except the janitors.

Glad to see this case turn out this way. It would be nice if the Osteens were to counter sue for defamation of character and their attorney expenses. This flight attendant and her co conspirator to this story should lose their jobs.

Hopefully this is the end to this court room drama, and i hope and pray that everyone involved can get on with their lives, good job jurors, i didn't believe the flight attendand at all

Ms. Brown should be fired from her job and should spend time in jail for purjury and she should have to pay Olsteen for the circus she has put the Olsteen's and the court through.
