Drug Store Robber Leaves Keys Locked In Getaway Vehicle Save Email Print

(August 15, 2008)—A 24-year-old Big Spring man who police say robbed the Stanton Drug Store of the drugs Zanzx and hydrocodine was in custody Friday after leaving his keys locked inside what was supposed to have been his getaway vehicle.

The man used what turned out to be a caulking gun wrapped in dark cloth during the hold-up Thursday afternoon.

Afterward, he police say he headed back to his vehicle, which was parked and running in front of the drug store, and then discovered he was locked out.

Stanton Police Chief Mike Adams said the man tried to get away on foot, but officers, who thought he had a gun, shot him in the top of his shoulder during a short chase.

He was treated at the Midland Memorial Hospital and taken to the Martin County Jail.

He faces an armed robbery charge.

I find it troubling that an organization (you) that exists because of the First Amendment would deny someone else (me) their rights under the same amendment. When I submitted a post stating that Margaret Mills belonged at the top of any "Dumbest Criminals" list, you refused to post it. Hmmmmmmm......Who is it down there that's in bed with ol' Maggie? I'm entering my e-mail address below to see if you have the guts to tell me why you're using censorship to screen out negative comments about criminals.

I guess the caulk gun control nuts will be all over this one. At least he wasn't using a semi-automatic staple gun during the robbery. :-)

Wow! He almost beats out Margaret Mills for "World's Dumbest Criminal"!

I hear he already has his defence set up. He was trying to SEAL something, not STEAL something. Then got confused when they handed him a bunch of drugs.

Maybe he'll make the list as one of the World's Dumbest Criminals look forward to seeing this on T.V.
