FORT HOOD (August 25, 2014) The Department of Defense has released the name of a Fort Hood soldier who died as a result from a non-combat related incident Aug. 22 in Gardez, Afghanistan.
Sgt. Christopher Waugh Mulalley, 26, of Eureka, Calif., an active-duty soldier since July 2006 was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 3rd Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, in July 2013.
Mulalley had deployed in March 2007 in May 2009.
He re-deployed in June 2014.
Circumstances surrounding his death are under investigation.
