Armed Man Robs Local Dry Cleaning Business Save Email Print

A | A | A

(August 22, 2008)—Temple police were looking Friday for an armed man who robbed a local dry cleaning business.

The robber struck at about 7:30 a.m. Friday at Mr. Best Cleaners at 2122 W. Adams Ave. in Temple.

The clerk told officers the robber walked in, displayed a handgun and demanded money.

He escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

The clerk described the robber as black and about 5-foot-7 with a slender build.

He was wearing a black shirt, blue jean shorts and a blue bandana, police said.

Investigators are asking anyone with information to contact the Temple Police Department at (254) 298-5500.

You could not PAY me to live in Waco. All of you are bashing Temple when Waco is worse. What all is "happening" in Temple Angela?? I see Waco in the news WAY more than Temple. Every town has problems because every town has PEOPLE. Criminals are everywhere but they seem to be more abundant in Waco, not Temple. We SURE don't have the drive-bys Waco has regularly. Thank goodness he didn't kill the clerk but I think it's gonna be pretty hard to find him.

to "Waco" location Waco, you should be sure to do some studying before mouthing off about Temple having problems, i am pretty sure Waco has an excessive amount of criminal problems, oh and by the way wasn't it Waco that was named in the poll as one of the worst cities to live in due to it's high rate of criminal activity and murder rate???

At least the Temple police release better suspect descriptions than the Killeen police... if this had happened in Killeen, they'd be asking the public's help top locate a male within and approximate age range (unless the suspect was White, of course, then he'd be described in detail.)
