WAXAHACHIE (September 2, 2014) Twelve students, who were among 19 on board a Waxahachie ISD school bus, were taken to Baylor Medical Center, in Waxahachie, and to Children’s Medical Center, in Dallas, after the bus they were riding on overturned on a rural roadway.
CBS station KTVT, in Fort Worth, reported a Department of Public Safety trooper at the scene said the bus hit a median and the drive rover-corrected, which caused the bus to roll over.
The accident happened just before 7 a.m. on Farm-to-Market Road 879, in Ellis County in the community of Boyce.
DPS troopers at the scene had not reported the ages of the children involved.
Five of the students went to the Waxahachie medical center, the other seven to Dallas.
The trooper at the scene said none of the children had life-threatening injuries and they were taken primarily as a precaution.
