WACO (September 2, 2014) A Waco man was held Tuesday in the McLennan County Jail after he was arrested on a warrant that charges him with indecency with a child sexual contact.

Micah John Pravel, 23, was ordered held on a $25,000 bond, charged with indecency with a child sexual contact in connection with an incident that was reported to Waco police on May 1, online jail records showed.

Pravel was arrested after Waco police obtained a warrant based upon a forensic interview with a 16-year-old victim who reported she had been the victim of sexual abuse by a man she knew since she was 7-years-old, Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said.

Swanton said there were several incidents reported at locations both inside and outside the City of Waco.

Detectives with the Crimes Against Children Unit were able to obtain the arrest warrant after specialists at the Children’s Advocacy Center conducted an interview with the victim.
