Police Search For Man Who Robbed Family Dollar Store With Knife

Temple police were looking Tuesday for a man they say walked into a Family Dollar Store armed with a knife and held up the clerk.

TEMPLE (September 2, 2014) Temple police were looking Tuesday for a man they say walked into a Family Dollar Store armed with a knife and held up the clerk.

At about 9:55 p.m. Monday a store clerk said a man walked into the Family Dollar Store at 1510 South 1st Street, pulled a knife and demanded money from the register, Temple police Cpl. Christopher Wilcox said.

The robber was handed an undetermined amount of cash and fled the store in a northbound direction, Wilcox said.

Wilcox said officers searched the area, but were not able to locate the suspect.

There were no injuries.

The suspect is described as a black male, last seen wearing dark colored clothing and a dark colored ski-style mask covering his face.

Temple Police urge all business employees to remain vigilant for suspicious activity of any type, and to report such activity immediately, Wilcox said.
