(August 26, 2008)—The trial of a Central Texas man charged in a murder for hire in which his wife was the victim resumes Tuesday morning in Lampasas County.
Donald Gower, 40, is accused of having his wife shot and killed last year to collect the life insurance money.
Hidi Gower was found gunned down in front of the Kempner VFW on July 4, 2007, after her husband allegedly sent her outside to retrieve something from their car.
The gunman, Chaka Johnson, was sentenced to life in prison without parole back in June.
Testimony began Monday after jury selection was completed.
The trial is expected to last through the middle of the week.
