(August 28, 2008)—The Bell County Grand Jury has returned indictments charging murder against Julius Wilson, Jr., 36, of Killeen and Dannece Shawnta Jenkins, 26, of Los Angeles in connection with the beating death of Gerardo Neave Garcia in April.

The indictment accuses the pair of striking Garcia over the head with a piece of wood after an argument over money in the 300 block of North 14th St. in Killeen.

Officers found Garcia lying in a field bleeding from a head injury.

He died about a week later in a local hospital.

Both Wilson and Jenkins will be charged as repeat offenders since both have previously been convicted of felonies.

Both are being held in the Bell County jail on $1 million bonds.
