(August 29, 2008)--Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour says Katrina victims still living in trailers along Mississippi's coast should begin evacuating this weekend as Hurricane Gustav approaches.
Forecasters say it is possible the storm could hit anywhere along the Gulf Coast from the Florida Panhandle to Texas as a major hurricane next week.
There are more than 5,000 temporary homes along the state's 70-mile coast, which was devastated by Katrina three years ago.
Officials are concerned because trailers are particularly vulnerable to being damaged in high winds.
Barbour said notices are going out to trailer residents on Saturday, and the first trailers in coastal Mississippi will be evacuated Sunday morning.
