(September 2, 2008)--Joseph Bert Raborn, 20 of McGregor, was in custody Tuesday in Coryell County, charged with four counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after a drive-by shooting early Monday morning in Oglesby that left four people with minor injuries.
Raborn was ordered held in lieu of bonds totaling $200,000.
He was arrested after a resident reported just before 1 a.m. Monday that a man with a shotgun had fired two shots at a group of people in FM 1996 in Oglesby.
All four victims were treated for minor injuries at the scene.
They told investigators that they were shot after asking the occupants of a small car to turn down the vehicle’s stereo.
In response, they said, a man in the car produced a shotgun and fired two rounds in their direction.
The car then sped off in the direction of Highway 107.
A description of the vehicle was broadcast and a short time later, a McGregor police officer stopped a vehicle that matched it.
Coryell County deputies recovered a shotgun they believe was used in the shooting and arrested Raborn.
