Texas Cross-Dresser Sentenced In Child Sex Case Save Email Print

(September 3, 2008)—A Tyler man who prosecutors say dressed as a woman and lured a boy into having sex with him has been sentenced to life in prison.

Dominique "Dom" Debose, 21, pleaded guilty to aggravated sexual assault of a child and was sentenced Tuesday.

Debose received the maximum penalty in the May incident, which involved a 13-year-old boy.

The defense, which sought a form of probation, plans to appeal the sentence.

Debose attorney Don Davidson said his client believed the boy was older than 13 and the sex was consensual.

Prosecutor Joe Murphy said Debose met the teen through an Internet chat room.

Murphy described Debose as a man preying on boys and tricking them into thinking he was a woman.

Okay-- all are screaming life is wrong when others do not get life for drugs, etc. Instead I think life is too good for any of these people. Sitting in a hotel that you can check out of is all prison is nowadays. Personally eye for an eye-- drug dealer--we pump you with drugs and OD you, Pedophile- machine rapes you and your parts are cut off so you can't anymore. Beat a child -- we beat the hell out of you. And so on. Easy and lowers taxes big time.

Like I said that is crazy and stupid because people who drink and drive and KILL people do not even get that. Child molesters, Rapist, Drug dealers non of them get life for that. Yes if its his 2nd or even 3rd offence but LIFE is crazy.

It's sick and sad that someone would do this to a child. If that were my child the courts would have to keep me away from him. If your gay that is your choice but, as what mimi said about her daughter being gay.... your not born that way...sorry it doesn't happen that way!

Don.... what???? Don't you think that his computer was confiscated and his harddrive was looked at? They can find every boy he's preyed upon in any chat room. How much you want to bet this boy thought he was talking to a 16 yr. old girl? I'm sick of people like you, who want to always put the blame on the child instead of the adult abuser. This "thing" needs to be in prison instead of on his computer, luring young boys for sex. Yeah, it's obvious you're not a muslim or ultra conservative, but a liberal with a twisted mind!! So-called victims?? Sorry, but the LAW says a 13 yr. old does not have the mentality of an adult....moron!!

Was this guy a homosexual cross-dresser or was he a pedophile posing as a woman to lure young men for sex? There IS a difference. If he his indeed a pedophile they may as well lock him up for life. I don't know if those people can be rehabilitated. Once a pedophile, always a pedophile.

Life in prison is a dang good start. Now as soon as we make it life with no possibility of parole for cases like this and the death penalty for worse cases we will have accomplished something.

Anonymous and Mimi know what they are talking about. I agree that the guy was wrong and should be punished, but life? Unless he is a repeat offender that is extreme. Even harden criminal murderers don't get that kind of time even when they keep repeating it over and over and over. Besides, I find it interesting that all these so-called victims in every case for the last few months are "13". What did you do when your hormones were raging? I don't know what scares me more, the fact that ultra conservatives and some others like to be ignorant or the fact that a lot of the people in this state think they live in Iraq, Iran, Syria, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, or the rest of the Middle East. If you really look at what some people are writing, ultra conservatives are not so different from radical Muslims afterall, and that is scary. NO I am not Muslim or an ultra conservative "Christian" (and I use that word loosely).

prioson is were he needs to be and inmates don't like these types of sicko's Most of the time they will teach them a lesson. I worked in a juv. detention center and the kids in there would beat the crap out of sex offenders if they got the chance or teach them a lesson in the shower.

You really should get out more, every homosexual I know (and yes I know quite a few)are not attracted to children and do not try to influence straight people into relationships. My daughter is gay and is not a sick twisted person who would touch a child, she is a loving, compassionate,giving human being who just loves different than most people, and yes she was born that way!

This is going to happening more and more now that homosexuals are getting "special protection" under the hate law. Even McDonalds is promoting homosexual lifestyles and that is supposed to be a safe place for kids. How do you think they "recruit" new victims, if not going after our kids?
