Arrest Made In Nightclub Death Save Email Print

(September 4, 2008)—Richard Dewayne Toon II, 24, of Killeen has been arrested on a warrant charging murder in the death of a Houston resident who was fatally injured in a brawl outside of a Harker Heights nightclub, police said Thursday.

He was ordered held in lieu of $1 million bond.

The warrant stems from the May death of Kevin Ray Alexis, 32, of Houston, whom officers found lying in the parking lot of the club at 304 W. Veteran’s Memorial Blvd after responding to a report of a fight involving club employees.

He was taken to Metroplex Hospital in Killeen where he later died.

In a statement released Thursday, police said additional arrests are possible.

I grew up with richard, i worked with richard, i went to church with richard, i SERVED with richard. He was and IS my best friend. it is upsetting what happened but i assure you he was not attempting to kill. He was mearly trieing to defuse the situation. My appologies to the family for their loss but all and all richard was taught to defend. and you didnt complain when he was defending you!

I want all readers to know,,, I have known Richard Toon for several years, he has kept my babies and severed his country all of his military career. He would have never hurt anyone, unless his life of family was in risk. Just remember he is the one figthing for your freedom to speak the way you do. I love Toon and i willsupport in every way. I love you baby and they will pay for what they did!!!!

Too bad he wasn't drunk, at least then he would have been much more reasonable. Unfortunately, Toon has to go to jail because he showed up for work that night and did his job. It's not Toon's fault this overbloated idiot decided to get jacked up on 2 hallucinogens and start a riot. Even more outrageous is his family screaming "my baby, my baby" trying to say he was on PCP and atropine and just calmly standing out front selling his CD's. Save it for Jerry Springer...I don't buy it!
