(September 5, 2008)—Forecasters say the effects of Tropical Storm Hanna will likely be felt by late Friday.
Hanna has edged by the Bahamas. The National Hurricane Center expects landfall in Virginia and the Carolinas, before the storm makes its way up the eastern coast bringing high winds and rain.
In Haiti, officials say the storm is to blame for at least 137 deaths, many of them in a flooded port city.
Hanna isn't the only concern for emergency planners.
Hurricane Ike, now at Category 3 is expected to reach The Bahamas by Monday. Ike was at Category 4 late Thursday.
Tropical Storm Josephine is the third storm forecasters are watching, but it's expected to weaken over the next couple of days.
