DPS Arrests 12, Seizes Marijuana Worth $1.3 Million Save Email Print

(September 5, 2008)—A bond hearing was scheduled Friday in McAllen for 12 men arrested in a DPS narcotics investigation that led to the seizure of more than $1.3 million worth of marijuana and a dozen vehicles including two 18-wheelers, the Department of Public Safety said.

Authorities confiscated 108 bundles containing a total of 3,106 pounds of pot Saturday in Pharr after a four-day investigation, the DPS said.

The investigation started after a DPS narcotics officer spotted something unusual about one of the seized 18-wheelers.

The pot was likely destined for somewhere in the north-central U.S. the DPS said.

The 12 men arrested are from McAllen, San Juan, Mission, Pharr, Memphis, Tenn., and Mexico, the DPS said.

I care not for the plight of drug addicts (or anyone else breaking the law, for that matter.) And, yes, Bush is a traitor, as are Obama and McCain... any of them would grant amnesty if given the chance.

Were those "residents" in the U.S. living here legally, I wonder, or were they all Mexican citizens(?)
