(September 5, 2008)-- What started as a routine traffic stop Friday afternoon in Temple turned into a manhunt after a motorist drove his car into a Central Texas apartment building and then fled on foot.
The man evidently bailed out of the car as it slammed into the side of the Meadow Village apartment complex on South 31st Street in Temple after a police officer attempted to pull the vehicle over for traffic violation.
No one was injured.
Temple police officers were searching for the man late Friday afternoon.
