(September 17, 2008)—Navarro County authorities say they seized about 2,100 marijuana plants ranging in size from knee-high to 10-feet in height.

The Navarro County Sheriff’s Office raided the residence around 9 a.m. Tuesday on County Road NW0145 south of Rice in the northern part of the county and found the plants growing in a wooded area south of the home.

Deputies arrested Jesus Omera Robles, 32, of Rice, who remained in the Navarro County Jail Wednesday, charged with possession of marijuana over 50 pounds, but under 2,000 pounds.

His bond is set at $5,000.

It’s the third rural marijuana-growing operation deputies have raided so far this year.

To Willie's Niece - did you know that almost without exception, most people who end up on hard drugs - and a life of crime to support their drug habits - started out by experimenting with marijuana? Did you know that dealers often give away samples of their pot to children in order to get the kids hooked and coming back for more (even though potheads say you can't get hooked)? Did you know that people kill each other over "just some plants"? Did you know that it is proven that long-term use of pot damages the brain? Don't believe me, look up the facts for yourself.
