(September 17, 2008)—Navarro County authorities say they seized about 2,100 marijuana plants ranging in size from knee-high to 10-feet in height.
The Navarro County Sheriff’s Office raided the residence around 9 a.m. Tuesday on County Road NW0145 south of Rice in the northern part of the county and found the plants growing in a wooded area south of the home.
Deputies arrested Jesus Omera Robles, 32, of Rice, who remained in the Navarro County Jail Wednesday, charged with possession of marijuana over 50 pounds, but under 2,000 pounds.
His bond is set at $5,000.
It’s the third rural marijuana-growing operation deputies have raided so far this year.
