(September 21, 2008)—A 2-year-old Texas boy was accidentally stabbed to death during a fight between his mother’s boyfriend and one of the boyfriend’s brothers.

The boyfriend, Keenan Bernard Conner, 23, got in a fight Friday afternoon with his 16-year-old brother.

Officials said one of the brothers produced a kitchen knife, and 2-year-old Avery Rhodes Williams was accidentally stabbed in the chest.

He was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The teenager was detained for questioning, but no charges were immediately filed.

Why in hell weren't they both charged? That's bad, and neither of them should get off, and why did the mother allow those kind around her baby anyhow?

That's the problem - CPS doesn't get involved until it's way too late - the child has to be severely injured or killed before they even look into what's going on. That's a shame. CPS is suppose to protect kids not help put them in the ground. Rest In Piece Texas Baby.
