Country Singer Begins Jail Term Tuesday Save Email Print

A | A | A

(September 29, 2008)—Country singer Mindy McCready reports to jail Tuesday in Franklin, Tenn. to begin serving a 60-day sentence for violating the terms of her probation on a 2004 drug charge.

The 32-year-old singer was charged in June with violating her probation by falsifying her community service records.

McCready says in a statement that she wants to put the issue behind her as soon as possible so she can get back to her music career.

She says she's working to regain custody of her young son, Zander.

This is NOT the "Most Discussed" news story. I don't know why this station even has a comment forum for it's viewers. People's comments are not posted in any kind of a timely matter...if posted at all.

What's up with the big gash on her nose? She does look like she is having some problems. She doesn't even have custody of her son? This is really going to help her cause in getting him back. She can't get her lazy butt off the couch long enough to do her community service, what is she going to do with her son. Kids take a lot of energy. You can't do drugs and take care of your kids the way they need to be taken care of while your trashed out of your mind. Get a life.

This lowlife must be real LAZY to not serve her community service. IT's not hard to pick-up trash, or help Habitat for Humanity, or organize clothing at Goodwill. I wonder if her parents are proud of her?
