(June 7, 2006)—An autopsy has been ordered in the drowning of a 6-year-old Central Texas boy who was found unconscious Tuesday on the bottom of the deep end of the Pecan Pool at Mill Pond Park in San Saba.
The boy evidently went to the pool with a sibling, San Saba officials said Wednesday.
Another swimmer discovered the boy on the bottom of the pool and brought him to the surface.
Pool staff members performed CPR until paramedics arrived, officials said.
The boy was pronounced dead just after 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Llano Memorial Hospital.
