(October 2, 2008)—The Senate has approved a $700 billion Wall Street bailout package aimed at preventing a credit crisis.
The measure passed 74-25 with Texas Senators Kay Bailey Hutchison and John Cornyn voting for the bill.
Hutchison said the bill, while not perfect, would "take necessary measures to bolster our financial system, keep businesses open, and create jobs."
Cornyn said Congress needs to work together now on bipartisan reforms to prevent this situation from happening again.
The bill now heads to the House for debate.
A vote could come as early as Friday.

Kay Bailey Hutchison is a TRAITOR
OPPOSE the socialistic "bailout bill" of some trillion or so dollars. Opposition in this area of Texas is near 100%.
I thought these people were supposed to be our voices. Why would they vote yes when America screams no. They both have lost my vote.
