(October 4, 2008)-- One-time football hero O.J. Simpson woke up in jail Saturday morning in Nevada and could end up spending the rest of his life behind bars after his conviction on a dozen charges related to the robbery of two sports memorabilia dealers last fall in a Las Vegas hotel room.

Simpson and his lawyers had argued the incident was not a robbery, but an attempt to reclaim mementos that had been stolen from him but jurors didn’t buy their version.

The verdict came 13 years to the day after Simpson was cleared of murdering his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ronald Goldman.

Sentence was taken into custody shortly after the charges were read against him.

As spectators left the courtroom, Simpson's sister collapsed and paramedics were called.

The verdict came 13 years to the day after Simpson was cleared of murdering his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ronald Goldman.

Simpson's attorney says the verdict was expected and now his client's "only hope is the appellate process."

This was a set up by the Goldman Family to get back at OJ. Have any of you ever really read all the evidence, viewed the crime scene photos? Or did you just assume he was guilty? Has anyone ever wondered why his son was completely hidden within hours of the murder? Hmmmmm.....OJ was only found guilty of the accussations because of how people felt about him regarding the murders, not based on the evidence of what he was accused of. If ya'll say about Karma and life cycle are true, Lord help those that cast judgement!

That would be great karma--everyone knows he got away with murder---hope he becomes someones girlfriend in prison!!!

He was never convicted of killing his ex-wife Nichole. Get over it. Were all of you there when it happened? How do you know the real truth? He was just trying to get things back that someone stole from him. He could have done this a whole different way, but he was caught and found guilty. All of you need to sit back and think about the evidence. No one has the right to Judge but God.

Well if he goes to jail I hope he can still run fast then again maybe not. Im sure there will be alot of juice thrown at the juice.

OJ has thought he was above the law when he got off for murder. Then he wrote a book to tell how he did it. He should rot underneath the prison. We are safer now that he is off the streets

Well one less has been to hear about. I hope he rots in jail he was guilty of the murder of his wife and friend.Nothing can change that.

I can see it takes time but life is a cycle..what you put out comes back to you! Thanks O.J. for proving my point!

Well if he did kill his wife and her freind they they got justice. What goes around comes around. He is now paying for crimes but could it be for both crimes or one but which one?

Your past always comes back to hit you square in the mouth everytime....

Regardless how anyone feels about him getting off for killing his wife and her friend, the man is innocent of the Vegas charges. This is just "payback" time. I think OJ has suffered enough since his wife was killed.

Well,Well, Well, i agree with all the other viewers, it's about time, even though he is not going to jail for murder, at least he's going we hope because the headlines say "COULD SPEND REST OF LIFE IN PRISON" which means he may still get off, you never know think about my brother, just my opinion

It,s about time O.J. faced the consequences of his actions. to this day, many believe, as I do, that he was guilty of the murder of Nicole, but was never convicted because of who he was. Justice is now being finally served.

Posted by: Mike Location: Temple on Oct 5, 2008 at 07:02 AM
Well, I havent been able to wipe this grin off my face since I heard the great news! He finally got what he should have gotten 13 years ago! GUILTY!

Posted by: Anonymous Location: Texas on Oct 5, 2008 at 06:44 AM
Its high time that OJ gets what is coming to him! Its too bad that he wasnt convicted in the death of his wife and her friend!

Posted by: Tina Location: Waco on Oct 4, 2008 at 09:00 PM
It's about time!!! Life in prison for murder...uh, I mean robbery.Justice will finally be served!

Posted by: Lisa Location: Temple on Oct 4, 2008 at 05:52 PM
Even though I thought he should have gotten life for murder.. There was no was he was going to get a fair trial anywhere. people were out to get him for the murders not for trying to get his stuff back. he was tried and convicted for this long before the trial.

Posted by: BBALL Location: waco on Oct 4, 2008 at 04:43 PM
And that is a bad reason why????? Dang he got away with murder the first time not EVERYBODY is that lucky. You know they say karma is a bit******.

Posted by: happy he is going to prison Location: somewhere on Oct 4, 2008 at 01:06 PM
Glad he is goig to prison!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Should of happened a long time ago!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know that the Lord works in mysterious ways. OJ felt as if he was free and clear for the murders, which he was, but in the long run his bad behavior caught up to him. The Lord has a plan for all of us, and this obviously was his plan for OJ.
