(October 7, 2008)—An investigation is underway after Wabash College student Johnny Smith, 18, was found dead Sunday morning in the Delta Tau Delta fraternity house the day after Wabash beat Allegheny College 48-7 in the school’s annual homecoming game.

Students said there were victory celebrations Saturday night.

Reports indicate Smith may have been drinking the night before another fraternity member found him dead in bed, but authorities say toxicology tests will have to be performed to determine whether alcohol was a factor in the death.

"It is a dean of student’s worst nightmare," said Mike Raters, Wabash College’s dean of students.
