(October 9, 2008)--A man was in custody Thursday evening in Missouri, charged with murder in the death of a 12-year-old Illinois boy who was shot as he did his schoolwork.
Marcus Powell is charged with first degree murder in the drive-by shooting death of Delarrian Davis.
Authorities say Powell had a longstanding feud with a man who lived in the home with the boy, just across the river from St. Louis.
A neighbor says she saw a man drive up in front of the house, turn off the headlights of his car and then fire several shots into the home.
Hours earlier, they say, Powell had traded gunfire outside a tavern with a man who was living with the boy's mother.
