Tourists Fall To Deaths In Mexico
At least one of the two women who fell to their deaths while parasailing in Mexico was from Texas.

(October 14, 2008)—At least one of two tourists who fell to their deaths while parasailing south of Mexico's resort town of Cancun was from Texas.
Local Deputy Attorney General Luis Canche says the two women were killed when the rope tying their parachute to a speedboat snapped.
The women were hurled onto rocks on shore.
A third woman fell into the water and survived.
Canche says he could not confirm news reports that the women were Americans, but a man who answered the telephone at the home of Margaret Beaman in Carrollton confirmed she was one of the women who died in the accident.
The man said the family would have no comment.
The accident happened Sunday in Akumal, a resort town about 75 miles south of Cancun.

Dang...I remember parasailing in Cancun. Didnt seem possible to "fall"

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. I have been parasailing in Padre and I remember being scared of heights saying,"I hope this rope doesnt break" I dont understand how 2 fell on rocks, 1 fell in the water when they should have all been attached to the parachute...
