Marlin, You need to get off your soap box. This is no the place to give people an "educaton" about safe driving. You must not know Travis, "this man" as you called him. If you did, you would know that he was a GREAT driver. He was so many other things, to so many people. This was not his fault, it was an accident. Reguardless, this is not the place to give your opinion about a man you never knew, and a accident you were not present at.

My best friend texted me about this earlier this morning and it was pretty shocking, but to say that I'm really suprised at it would be a lie, just that it was his character to be a little bit of a "daredevil" for lack of a more descriptive word. Travis was good guy though, sorry it had to happen to him. RIP man.

As a biker myself I have seen these younger riders going H_LL for LEATHER on these high powered motorcycles without regard for themselves or the innocent people they are endangering. It gives all motorcycle riders a bad name. Sadly this man went too fast, thought that he could control the bike on a curve, but ended up running off the road and killing himself. At his age it's easy to do. Most accidents on bikes, caused by the rider, are running off the road at a curve. They overestimate their ability to "handle" the curve at a high rate of speed....racing or agressively cornering in other words. I feel for his family. Everyone should also remember that 16 to 25 year olds are the most "accident prone" drivers in the state. They are always doing something that endagers themselves in cars as well as motorcycles....so don't think all riders are like this one or crazy. Most riders are better drivers than the average car driver...it's a safety thing that a rider knows is required!
