(October 30, 2008)—Waco Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a local resale shop around mid-day Thursday.

The robbery happened just before noon at the 25th Street Bazaar in 1200 block of North 25th Street in Waco.

Four Hispanic males, three wielding knives and one a black handgun, ordered two women to the floor and bound their hands, said the business owner’s son Edwin Diaz.

Diaz said when he arrived at the store he found a pregnant woman still tied up on the floor. He identified her as a customer.

A saleswoman who had been tied up in a backroom was able to free herself.

Diaz told News Ten the robbers escaped with about $200,000 worth of gold jewelry and coins and $10,000 in cash, which was hidden in the store.

One of the robbers was wearing a green shirt and dark pants.

A business next door was robbed a little more than a week ago.
