(October 31, 2008)—Police were looking for two armed men Friday after a late-night home invasion in which a 34-year-old Killeen man was shot to death.

Anthony Latee Thompson died just after 11:30 p.m. Thursday at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center, about two hours after police responded to a report of a shooting at a residence in the 4300 block of Secretariat Drive.

Thompson opened the door of his home Thursday night to a man he knew, police said, when the two armed men rushed into the residence and threatened him.

A fight ensued and Thompson was shot, police said.

The two gunmen fled on foot and the man whom Thompson had admitted left a short time later, police said.

One of the armed men was a light-skinned black, about 6-feet tall and weighing 150 pounds with a small Afro and a goatee.

The other was a dark-skinned black, about 5-foot-10, weighing about 150 pounds.

He had gold teeth and a faded hairstyle, police said.

Investigators are asking anyone with information to call the Killeen Police Department at (254) 501-8800 or Killeen Crime Stoppers at (254) 526-8477.

People If you Dont Protect What is Yours No one else is Going to Protect it for you. Sure I know the Police is out there But they cant always be right there when you need them So Go out get yourself a gun and Learn how to use it Properly, and get some additional training if needed..It's the only way We are going to put a stop to all this madness. Is it me or are they Crooks just getting more barve lately, but I see it getting worse if a mentioned person gets president then we would be left out in the dark with No Protection at all. just my 2 Cents Worth..

This is a awful story, but my question is what happened to the person that the homeowner knew, the one who rang the bell at the door the news said he left a short time later police said, ok, was he not questioned or taken into custody, this part of the story is puzzling to me?????, and it is time for everyone to arm themselves to protect your lives, your families lives and you property, this world is coming to an end.
