I'm trying to figure out the location as well. However, the article only says "near loop 121 and hwy 190." As a former dispatcher, I know that sometimes accidents are not directly located ON the location given, but rather crossroads are given to guide responders. I pray that the driver of the element recovers quickly and fully.

I'm with Amber on this...I take Lp 121 every day and still can not pinpoint the location of this accident. Can someone shed some light? Also, I hope everyone is alright!

I'm trying to picture where exactly this accident took place. The intersection of Loop 121 and Hwy 190 has a light. Right there between the Shell and Valero stations. The video was way too dark to tell anything about where it was. Can someone please give me a better idea of where this "blind" intersection is so that I may avoid it? I'm glad everyone is ok. I will pray for the gentleman in the Element. Do we know the status of his condition?

I'm the suburban, and in my truck there were no phones involved. There is a blind spot from the position of the element, and it doesnt help that there were 2 other trucks blocking the view. I was traveling south on 121, the 2 trucks in front of me were turning right. I saw the element stopped at the sign, as i came around the trucks the element pulled out. I had a split second to respond. There is no way to stop a full size truck that quick. I and my family are praying for the young male in the element. I'm very sorry this had to happen. I thank God that we are all alive. So, people just keep in mind, don't talk mess about what happened just pray that the human beings are going to be ok. CHILL OUT central Texas

Those were my kids and grandkids in that accident. There needs to be a traffic light there. Many accidents have already happened there. My kids are all slowly recovering. They were from the ages of 28 yrs old to 3 months old. Citizens of Belton we need to all get together and complain an perhaps make that a safer intersection before someone loses their life there.

It seems like no one is interested on the condition of the people or the reason for the accident, most seem to be hung up on where it happened. Get a grip.

Hot of Texas is on a cell phone kick today. He/She made that comment on another blog today too. Anyway....I agree with "its not about cell phones from Belton"... Cell phones arent ALWAYS the reason for accidents. Sometimes it IS just an accident because some one wasnt paying complete attention. They could have been changing the radio station, looking for a CD, or even in deep thought about something. H.O.T....do you EVER talk on YOUR cell phone while driving? If you say NO...I wont believe you.

why is everything about cell phones? there were not any cell phones involved in the cause of the accident. the element pulled out infront of the suburan as it came over a bridge. the surburan didnt have enough time to stop because its a blind intersection. how about you get off your cell phone and stick to commenting on stuff that happens in waco instead of belton where you have no clue whats going. on.

I agree with you Michelle. I had to read it again too. I didn't see Killeen mentioned anywhere in there. Somebody seeing things???

Michelle, the original post stated Killeen. Maybe you should read the articles when they are first posted. You can tell from the headline that they have made changes to the article.

Posted by: Amanda Location: Killeen on Nov 5, 2008 at 02:46 PM
You must not have read it this morning... it did say Killeen at first...

Posted by: Karen Location: Killeen on Nov 5, 2008 at 02:37 PM
OMG!! Can't we all just get along without everybody critizing everything everybody says?? justsayingisall made a mistake, so what?? Are you perfect Michelle?? I doubt it!! Hope everyone recovers quickly from this accident.

When the article was first posted, it did say Killeen. It has since been corrected. You should make sure you know what you are talking about before you start insulting people, Michelle.

Michelle: The original story said KILLEEN not Belton. Know the facts before you attack other people. They knew how to read, as did I. Obviously they changed it when Karla pointed that out. How does that foot taste? lol!!!!
