34-Year-Old Central Texas Man Dies Early Monday After One-Car Accident

WACO (July 18, 2011)—Matthew Kyle Middlebrook, 34, of Whitney, died early Monday in a Waco hospital of injuries he received when his car overturned on a farm-to-market road just north of Waco.

The accident happened at around 8:20 p.m. Sunday on FM 2490 near the intersection with McGary Road just north of China Spring Road.

Investigators said Middlebrook was traveling at a high rate of speed on FM 2490 when he lost control of his car, which left the road and overturned.

He was taken to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center.

McLennan County Justice of the Peace Billy Martin pronounced him dead at 2:20 a.m. Monday.
