Central Texas Man Charged With Sexually Assaulting a Child Save Email Print

(November 29, 2008) – A 20-year-old Gatesville man is in Coryell County Jail charged in the sexual assault of an 11-year-old girl.

Nicanor Olvera Delacruz is held in lieu of $50,000 bond following his arrest earlier in November.

Police initially were dispatched to a home on North 15th Street, in Gatesville, on a report of a runaway.

Subsequent investigation at the scene led police to believe the 11-year-old there actually had been sexually assaulted.

After further investigation, Delacruz was arrested at his home without incident.

Race? Doesn't matter. What matters is did he do it? When and if he is convicted give him everything the law allows, maximum punishment. Begin to deal with these predators in a public and harsh way and I bet it all but stops. Being coddled in prison doesn't seem to work.

I'm pretty sure alot of you ppl already know, gville is know for drugs, but also for all the little tramps running around droppin their pants for every tom dick and harry out there.these little girls start out 12 and are dating 20 yr olds. If they're not pregnant then they are have had a miscarraige or abortion.I have tried to talk to some of the parents ,but they blow me off,thinkin I have no idea what i'm talkin about.ASK YOURSELF DO I REALLY KNOW WHAT MY CHILD IS DOING,I BET YOU DONT,YOU WILL BE SURPRISED .I WAS!!I HAVE ONE A 14 YR OLD AND WAS SHOCKED TO FIND OUT WHAT I DID .

Mother in Gatesville: if you are the real mother you should clear up what really happened for everyone. If you're the same person who posted before and are just trying to cover your butt I feel REALLY sorry for you. I think it's sick to say your daughter was basically at fault. YOU should not have allowed her to think sexual activity was okay at 11 years old. Why was she even "seeing" someone at 11? We tell our kids they can't date until they're 30, lol!! We joke but it's a very serious issue in our house. You start to date when you are ready to get married.

I bet if this was a black man...many of you would be like "Oh my gosh, why is it always a black person...", or if it was a white man, "Oh my goodness, it seems like it is always a white person doing this!". Creeps of every race...green, purple, or polka dotted do this crime in Texas and across the world. The main factor is that the little girl is ok and this person be put to jail and receive the ultimate punishment for his crime. Stop with the race crap and labeling things because it is getting OLD! Ralph-- I have researched this and have not found any data to substantiate your claim. I would encourage you to post the statistics and site where you got them from. Wow...ok, Mom brought some clarity to the table. However, the girl is only 11! "She knew what she was doing was wrong"..ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! Your statement doesn't justify anything! She is a KID. He is an ADULT! He has 9 years on her. He IS a pedophile. They prey on young girls, manipulate them, and try to make them feel guilty for not doing what they want. How you could make it out to be "ok" makes me sick to my stomache. And how do you know he didn't threaten her? In my opinion, your daughter is obviously lacking something at home for her to be "seeing" this MAN in the first place. Yeah, I too wish people would do research (current statistics) and not throw something out here like Ellison's 10 yr old study of 3000 "admitted" child molesters. Try looking at Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) records that say there's at least 240,000 illegal immigrant sex offenders here which they average to be about 95 crossing the border EACH DAY. If you've never been to a 3rd world and seen young female abuse first hand, then you don't know and are commenting blindly. Child molesters are the lowest scum on earth and need to be castrated, then hung!!! Yes, they're in every race, but many low class male-dominated cultures are more tolerant of these very sick actions. That's not "new" news folks......

To assign race is not heinous, in fact it seems very fitting. It is fitting because if you bother to follow the Central Texas indictments most of the people forcing sexual relations upon children are indeed hispanic. Feel free to research it yourself. I am sure that most hispanic people will have issue with this but the facts are just that. Fact. I personally agree with other like minded individuals. It is sad but also a fact. In the southern states hispanics truly rule the roost of child molestation. Doubt me? Check it out for yourself. You'll be embarassed..

I happen to be the mother of the girl that this happened to. First of all, she was not molested like they put it. She had been seeing this guy for a while.She knows what she was doing was wrong, but she did it anyway. She is doing just fine. If she didnt get caught she would still be seeing him.

I think what he did is horrible he should be locked for life, but for you prejiduce people out there , I see on the news alot of and i mean alot of high class white men who held high positions who have been caught molesting children and with child porn. I think this man is very sick.This poor girl has to live wirh this for the rest of her life.She also has to be able to get used to trusting people again.I sure hope this little girl will be fine due to this man doing what he done to her.i hope he doesn't get a bond set.Someone should do what he has done to that little girl and her family.I will pray for this little girl and her family.god bless you'll.

I am so sick of of the fact that every time a situation, this one for example, comes about, race is ALWAYS the first thing pointed out. Who cares? The fact of this matter is a child had her innocence taken away and she is scarred for life. This man needs to not have a bond set and should be casterated. Wouldn't it be great if we could have a zero tolerance law for pedophiles? One strike and you're out? No bond? No second chances to do this again? Only in a perfect world...I am praying for this child and her family. I also pray for this man: that he gets what he deserves.

This guy was arrested on Nov 22nd. Why is it just now making the news? It doesn't matter what race you are, sexually assulting a child is against the law. I can guarantee that if this had ever happend to my child, the guy in question would never have made it to being arrested, cause I would be on trial for murder in the first degree.
