(December 2, 2008)--A Port Arthur teenager has pleaded guilty to lesser charges in a case that made world headlines when police sought permission to remove a bullet from his forehead to prove he tried to kill a man.
Joshua Adam Bush agreed to two years in state jail in return for his guilty pleas to charges of criminal mischief and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
The sentences would be served concurrently.
The 19-year-old defendant's attorney said he should be released soon since he has credit for time served.
In the plea deal Bush accepted Monday, charges of deadly conduct and two counts of engaging in organized criminal activity were dropped.
Bush was accused of participating in a break-in at a used car lot in Port Arthur in the summer of 2006, but a Jefferson County jury acquitted him last August of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
A conviction on that charge could have resulted in a life prison sentence.

this is hilarious, "Jimw". You are accusing ME of the one who is bored, yet you are the one who's online posting comments at 2:33 in the morning? Come on, buddy. The point of my comment was simply that it was unnecessary for Sandra to even comment on the typo in the title of the article. If she didn't have anything interesting to say about the topic of the article, then move on. And by the way, my vision is 20/20 - thanks for checking though. :)
Sandra, what article are YOU reading? It says with.
What I don't understand is why do they have to take the bullet out to prove that he is guilty?
