Texas Couple Jailed In Infant’s Death Save Email Print

A | A | A

(December 3, 2008)—Bond was set at $2 million Wednesday for a Texas couple charged with capital murder in the death of a 13-month-old girl.

Blaine Milam and Jessica Carson were in custody Wednesday in Rusk County.

They were arrested Tuesday after deputies responded to a 911 call and found 13-month-old Amora Bain Carson beaten.

Investigators think the couple used a hammer to "beat the demons out" of the girl.

Milam was convicted of aggravated sexual assault of a child in August and was put on probation.

An investigator with the Rusk County District Attorney's Office said that case did not involve
Amora.

The child's body was sent to Dallas for an autopsy.

The way i see it, if you're convicted of sexual assault, you shouldnt be able to have kids anyway. What is going on in this world?

Posted by: Confused Location: Killeen on Dec 5, 2008 at 12:19 PM
How does a person only get probation for Aggravated sexual assault on a minor much less anyone else. This may not have happened if the guy would have been in jail.

Posted by: caring mom on Dec 5, 2008 at 09:15 AM
this is onec of the most screwed up stories I have ever heard. This sounds like a tradgedy that could have completely been avoided. As a mother my self I am very overprotective of my boys and this is so dumbfounding it is unreal. Rest in peace little angel you can no longer be hurt

to UNKNOWN IN BELTON - Use of all caps is childish. To everyone who tried to bring race into this in any way, Your ignorant. Everyone on both sides need to quit using every crime story as an excuse to stick out there tongue and Go "So there!" And I have said before and I will say again. Child molesters = Death Penalty

The justice system, how it works and what we do cause all of this! How on earth can we keep allowing this kind of thing to happen. No swift justice at all in our world today. Plus the cost this baby had to pay, as well as the pain!! Babies, elderly and animals all put out to the gene pool we call society... and look how we protect them all. The ones that cannot protect themselves...

Posted by: Jess Location: Killeen on Dec 5, 2008 at 03:05 AM
what MONSTERS! and probation...are you serious? This was not a grown person killed, this was an innocent BABY! Just imagine it...daydream it...a beautiful little girl being beaten to death with a hammer by two ugly, dirty adults...and they have no mercy for her. Try hitting the end of a hammer up to your hand as hard as you can to feel the pain she felt THREE times as that! Imagine how she felt on the outside AND the inside...get into the little girls mind and put yourself in her shoes! Those adults deserve the ultimate punishment! WAKE UP AND SMELL THE FOLGERS!!!

Posted by: Marie Location: Waco on Dec 4, 2008 at 09:38 PM
HOW SICK! SHOULD BEAT THEM WITH A HAMMER TO SEE HOW THEY LIKE IT. NOT A SMALL HAMMER, TRY A SLEDGE HAMMER. THAT SHOULD DO THE TRICK.

Posted by: Anonymous Location: temple on Dec 4, 2008 at 02:35 PM
I think it is absurd that the father was CONVICTED of aggravated sexual assault of a child and was only put on probation. People who assault children should be locked up for life or killed.

Posted by: Anonymous on Dec 4, 2008 at 01:45 PM
Those people should be beat just like they beat there baby!!!

Posted by: Ann Location: Temple on Dec 4, 2008 at 01:11 PM
I am not even going to take the time to read the other comments. They do not deserve a trial wasting taxpayers' money. Give them the sleepy juice. I know from bible teachings I should not seat in judgment but when I hear of a child being injured or killed deliberately it makes me want to be the judge, jury, and executioner.

Posted by: PDW Location: CHICAGO on Dec 4, 2008 at 01:06 PM
Would love 5 minutes alone with that guy! They should NOT of killed her. Hell, I would went to Texas and brought her back to raise in my loving home. Some people cant have kids and want them, These S.O.B's have one and kill her, I will never understand.

Posted by: Dee Location: Texas on Dec 4, 2008 at 11:40 AM
There should be no questions asked about the punishment this couple should receive. No plea bargins, nothing. The judicial system should keep in mind they are speaking for the victim, which in this case was an innocent, defenseless baby. What in the world is wrong with people?

Posted by: Kris Location: Waco on Dec 4, 2008 at 11:08 AM
Before I get attacked, I realize I didnt spell depression correctly. My apologies.

Posted by: Angela Location: Waco on Dec 4, 2008 at 09:08 AM
It makes me sick to think that there are that sick of people out there to actually kill their kids. A small innocent baby had to suffer cause of her sick parents. I think they should move to the front of the line for the death penelty. Beat them with a hammer. Sick people.

Posted by: Mother Location: Waco on Dec 4, 2008 at 07:53 AM
I think what these two stupid kids are gonna try to do is pretend they are insane...with the claim that they were beating the demons out of the baby, I hope it dont work and i hope they dont get insanity charges!

Posted by: lee Location: alabama on Dec 3, 2008 at 11:40 PM
I held this child in my arms and she was so sweet. I can't believe what has happened.amoria carson is now in the arms of our lord and savior. I want them to both die but i want them to suffer some here on earth but i know they will suffer for eternity in hell for what have done.

Posted by: someone Location: somewhere on Dec 3, 2008 at 11:22 PM
This is all the the fault of the people who put that dog on probation. they should have locked him up and probably this would have never happened i agree with angie the state loves money so much they don't care who is out free, and for the mother, she is worse than than the lowest of the low even an animal will protect their own born but these women are so in heat they rater have the man pleased that the care of their children and this if for all you women that prefer their husbands or lovers (or whatever you eant to call it)over their children!

Posted by: Angie Location: Belton on Dec 3, 2008 at 09:45 PM
Probation is just a way for the county to make money, the root of all evil. Bring back the electric chair!

Posted by: anonymous Location: Austin on Dec 3, 2008 at 09:17 PM
The worse crime a person can commit is hurting a child. Eye for an eye. What mercy they gave, give the same. I wish I could have saved that child. What can we do to help these kids who have monsters for parents?

Posted by: chichi Location: copperas cove, texas on Dec 3, 2008 at 07:47 PM
Commandment 6: Thou shalt not kill. Children are sacred to GOD...they will get their sentences here on earth...then get their sentences, when they reach the Pearly Gates of Heaven...Hell is eternal. Poor baby...hard to understand/accept that all things happen according to GOD's plan

What a bunch of savages. Just goes to show you there are animals in all races!

Posted by: Sandra Location: Temple on Dec 3, 2008 at 05:28 PM
Anyone who intentionally hurts another human is a monster. But to hurt and kill an innocent child is the most hideous crime of all.

Posted by: UNKNOWN Location: BELTON on Dec 3, 2008 at 05:15 PM
THIS GOES TO SHOW HOW RAGADY THE JUSTICE SYSTEM IS FOR SEX AND CHILD MOLESTERS IS THEY GET OUT GET PROBATION THEN KILL ANOTHER CHILD.... BUT NO EVERYBODY IS WORRIED ABOUT THE ILLEGALS AND THE ONES DOING ALL THE CRIME ARE US CITIZENS...

Posted by: larissa Location: ft. hood on Dec 3, 2008 at 05:09 PM
I hope they get the death penalty and instead of waiting forever for them to recieve their judgement, I think they should get killed immediately. Maybe then we wouldnt have all these wierdos out there if we would get rid of them as soon as they committed the act. That poor innocent baby.

Posted by: Suz Location: Waco on Dec 3, 2008 at 04:57 PM
That's the justice system for you. A man is convicted of a terrible crime and is given probation. Might as well have put the hammer in his hand. Way to go Texas Justice! This child's blood is on your hands just as much as the people who killed her. It's like they want people to re-offend and it makes me sick. Why would you let a violent offender back on the streets to hurt another child. Is it enough this time or will they let him go again? Obviously the woman was a real winner too. Who would ever think that it is ok to beat a small child? Wouldn't surprize me if she got a kick out of it. What is worse is that they say it was all done in the name of Jesus. I bet she let that man around the child to show her what a good Christian woman did for her husband. These people should be put to death immidiately as well as any other predator of children. Better the blood of someone who hurts the defenseless than that of an innocent child.

Sexual assault of a child and he was in the presence of a child in order to beat her to death? How does that happen? Whether it was that child he was convicted of molesting or not he shouldnt have been near her.How can a mother who carried and gave birth to a child kill it? God what is this world coming too?
