H-E-B turns on the ethanol pumps Wednesday in Central Texas, promising drivers savings of 30 cents a gallon.

(August 16, 2006)—H-E-B turns on the ethanol pumps Wednesday afternoon at the H-E-B gas station on Interstate 35 in Waco, promising drivers a savings of 30 cents a gallon over the price of regular unleaded gasoline.
H-E-B will offer drivers of flex-fuel vehicles E-85 starting at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the station.
E-85 is a blended fuel that includes 15 percent gasoline and 85 percent ethanol, which is produced from corn and other grain products.
