(December 14, 2008)--The Coast Guard has suspended the search for two remaining crewmembers from a helicopter crash that killed three others.

The search was called off Saturday, two days after the helicopter crashed in the Gulf of Mexico.

A rescue crew found three men in the water about two miles off the coast of Sabine Pass.

The search continued for two others on the helicopter, which was headed to an unmanned oil platform about 18 miles offshore.

The Coast Guard said it searched about 1,000 square miles.
