(December 15, 2008)—The Texas Department of Transportation will close traffic across the FM 2063 (Sun Valley Blvd) bridge at Interstate 35 in Hewitt, beginning at 7 pm Monday, reopening at 7 a.m. Tuesday.

At midnight, both southbound lanes on Interstate 35 will also be closed.

The Sun Valley Bridge and Southbound Interstate lane closures will be repeated Tuesday at 7 p.m., reopening Thursday at 7 a.m.

On Thursday at 7 p.m., TxDOT will close the Sun Valley Bridge and Northbound Interstate lanes, reopening at 7 a.m. Friday.

All closures are dependant on ideal weather conditions and may be delayed or postponed in the event of inclement weather.

During the closures, east-bound FM 2063 cross-traffic will be routed south to FM 3148 (Moonlight Dr) and west-bound cross-traffic will detour north to Highway 6-Loop 340; northbound and southbound interstate traffic will travel respective frontage roads.

This week’s project is a part of a multi-phase $88 million reconstruction effort slated for completion in Fall 2011.

Motorists are advised to observe all warning signs and traffic control devices in the project area.
