(December 17, 2008)-- A would-be robber was in custody Wednesday in San Antonio after a worker at the fast food restaurant he was trying to hold up laughed at him and told him to get a job.

The man approached a cashier Tuesday night at a McDonald’s restaurant and demanded money, police said.

The cashier, who evidently didn’t realize the man was trying to rob the restaurant, laughed.

In response, the man pulled out a box cutter and demanded the cashier’s wallet.

The employee handed over the billfold, but it had no money in it.

The robber ran, but police caught him.

He was facing aggravated robbery charges Wednesday.
