(January 1, 2009) – Martin Flores, Jr., didn’t start his New Year off well as he was the first person arrested in 2009 by Waco police.

Flores was driving his 1997 Pontiac Trans Am westbound just past midnight on Waco Drive when he failed to stop and his car ran into the back of a Waco police car at the intersection of West Waco Drive and Valley Mills Dr.

The crash did only minor damage to both vehicles , but Flores was arrested on a DWI charge.

Flores was taken to the McLennan County Jail.
