Water Main Break Causes Outages
Some Central Texas residents were without water late Monday afternoon because of a water main break.

(January 5, 2009)—Some Killeen residents were without water late Monday afternoon because of a main break.
The possible outages were in the area north of Veterans Memorial Boulevard, from W.S. Young Drive to Shady Drive, the city said.
Crews were working on the break and expected to have it fixed by Monday evening.
The city said the cold combined with a lack of rainfall caused the ground to shift, which damaged the main.
