Seven US Soldiers Killed By Roadside Bombs, Military Says

(August 28, 2006)—Roadside bombings Sunday in Iraq claimed the lives of seven US soldiers assigned to the 4th Infantry Division’s Multinational Division Baghdad, the military said Monday.

Two soldiers died when a homemade bomb struck their vehicle Sunday in western Baghdad and another died when a roadside bomb struck his vehicle south of Baghdad the military said.

Four other soldiers died in a roadside bombing north of Baghdad.

An eighth soldier was killed by small-arms fire in eastern Baghdad, the military said.
