MIAMI (March 05, 2009)-Funnyman and actor Robin Williams has been hospitalized in Florida with heart trouble, according to a report filed Thursday on the Miami Herald Website.

According to the report, Williams is currently in a Miami hospital ICU because of heart problems.

Williams’s publicist did not confirm his location or condition to CBS affiliate WFOR-TV in Miami.

Williams recently canceled several performances in Florida of his one-man comedy show, "Weapons of Self-Destruction," after experiencing shortness of breath.

The comedian-turned-actor said in a press release Wednesday that doctors were evaluating him and recommended a week of rest.

Williams had been scheduled to perform two shows Wednesday and Thursday in Hollywood, Florida, a show in Orlando on Friday and a show in Tampa on Saturday.

The press release indicated the four canceled shows would be rescheduled, and tickets for those performances would be honored when the new dates were announced.

The 57-year-old actor was scheduled to continue his 80-city comedy tour on Monday with a show in Jacksonville.

Good morning Vietnam was absolutely one of my favorites but lets not forget that he was the voice of the Genie on Aladin... I loved his character in that movie. Everyone has that moment in their life when they realize they have been doing too much or not caring for themselves the way they should. I hope that is all this is for him. Would be a darn shame if it were anything more.

I'm sure when Robin dies someday and reaches the pearly gates, he will groan when Saint Peter holds out his hand and goes, "Nanoo, nanoo"... Mork calling Orson, come in Orson!
