PANAMA CITY, Fla. (March 18, 2009)—Justin Richard Delval, 21, of Katy, a Texas A&M University sophomore, was found dead Wednesday morning in a ditch near a beachfront condominium complex in Panama City, Fla., which is a popular spring break destination.

Texas A&M students are on spring break this week.

WJHG-TV reported on its Web site that an investigation revealed that Delval was drinking heavily through the day Tuesday.

Delval was pronounced dead at the scene.

An autopsy was ordered to determine the cause of death.

Police said there were no signs of foul play.

FYI, Justin did not have a drinking problem. The events that went on his last night contradict who he was. I believe the environment that Justin was in played a major role in his decision to drink as much as he did, however much that was. It seems to me that alcohol poisoning is so prevalent among the teens and young adults. Why is there not more information about it like there is with drinking and driving? College students are synonymous with binge drinking, the exact cause of alcohol poisoning(rapidly drinking 5 drinks in a row). This is not who Justin was. He was not a hardcore drinker and not one to be out of control. He was no saint but he was spiritually grounded and faithful. We thank God for his friends that brought him to Christ. Now we can only imagine what it was like for Justin when he saw His face. Justin, our hearts are aching that you are not here. We will miss you forever. Te queremos.
