Girl Injured in Fall At Waco Middle School
A fall during an after-school workout sent a female middle school student to a Waco hospital late

WACO (March 20, 2009)--A middle school girl was taken to a Waco hospital after she fell while participating in an athletic workout late Friday afternoon at Lake Air Middle School.
The girl’s name has not been released but a spokesman for Waco Independent School District told News 10 Friday afternoon she was running during a workout when she tripped over a curb fell and struck her head on the ground.
She told paramedics she felt tingling in her extremities.
She was taken to Hillcrest Medical Center by East Texas Medical Center Emergency Medical Service ambulance for treatment.
A spokesman at the scene said the girl's injuries did not appear to be serious.
The accident happened about 4:45 p.m. Friday.
