DALLAS (March 22, 2009)--Police were looking Sunday for the person who fired the shot that killed a man who was en route to play soccer at a North Dallas park.

Wilmar Alexander Chavez of Irving died Saturday night after he got into an argument over a parking spot at the park, which is near the I-635 eastbound service road.

Police say Chavez parked his vehicle, approached a white sport utility vehicle and someone fired from inside the SUV at close range.

Chavez was transported to Medical City Dallas Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Sgt. Eugene Reyes with Dallas Police said as of Sunday morning no suspect had been arrested.

know days you never know who is packing, so be carefull of what you do and say. They just might pull a gun and your life is go in a flash. I remember when you could take a walk at night and not worry about what was going to happen to you know they are jumping anyone to try to make a buck without working, and killing oer stupitd stuff like a parking spot. I can only see it getting worse prior to it getting better. Keep your head up and eyes open.
