FERRIS, Texas (March 23, 2009)—Two people were found stabbed to death Monday in a home in Ferris, a town of about 2,100 that straddles Dallas and Ellis Counties.
Ferris Police Chief Frank Mooney says police afternoon found the bodies of a 39-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman on a bed Monday afternoon after a relative who had been trying to find the man called police.
Mooney said in Monday's online edition of the Waxahachie Daily Light that the man had several deep cut wounds and the female had several cut wounds to her arms in addition to a slashed throat.
The names of the dead were not immediately released.
Mooney says there was no indication of forced entry and the doors of the home were locked.

What a tragedy. What is this world coming to? I feel like we are reading about more and more murders. What was the purpose of stabbing them to death and slitting their throats? What a horrible way to die.
